The Roslyn vintage trailer weekend in June sounds like fun. How interesting to see all those vintage trailers parked in one place.

And Yes, go Seahawks!

Happy to see a Washington thread, also. We've been on the forums almost year and a half and didn't know it was here. Wbcci 'at large' members but haven't been to an event yet. Rarely see other Airstreamers on our (mostly weekend) travels. Love to meet some peeps! We have a few local trips planned for spring. Will post info when we're back home.

Pam and I are in, like the idea. We have the best time just being spontaneous. We both are still working, hard to plan much in advance but we would try to make some informal gatherings.

We just joined WBCCI and the Washington unit. We plan to visit LYH in Olympia in the future.

We are still working too, so we can only get away for weekends, maybe take off on Friday now and then.

We stay at LYH every time we go to visit Seattle. I feel like it's a safe place to leave the trailer while we go exploring. I'd love to retire there someday and make it home-base while we trailer around the country!

We are likewise open to joining a AS group as we just got our new-to-us 92 Excella 29' last summer - did Nevada to Florida to our home here in Mossyrock WA last summer - what a ball.

BUT: today I am looking for a RV park nearby Seattle/Tacoma and also Olympia for my son and I see the reference to LYH.

SO:
1) what is LYH ?
2) can I get some recommendations for other Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia parks? Looking for a place to put the AS so my son can live it in short term while he finds work in that area.

Thanks n regards,
Tim

I invited a few people I have met recently in Washington state to come meet me and give some advice on the Globetrotter.

Author Tom Schabarum that wrote Airstreaming came by as well. He wrote a nice blog about his visit with me.

I would love to know about any get together that may be coming up.
We too live in the NW, about an hour north of Seattle.
We purchased our AS in Sept. and went to Yellowstone. Our fist time there and WOW!
We are going back again this Sept.
My trailer, before the AS, was a fiberglass 16' Scamp. I loved the Scamp but Ron (husband) did not..he could not stand up straight in it due to the low interior height..not to mention like a bull in the China shop.
I told him that I was never selling the Scamp unless it was for a AS.
So..
We decided on the 2015 Flying Cloud 23' rear bedroom. Love it!
Yes we our still working too but have many plans to break away from the farm and see the sights. We have family in Minn. so we planning a summer trip there and maybe a ocean trip in the next couple of months.
It would be great to have a gathering to met other NW AS folks!

Hi there! I think that Roslyn dry camping Father's Day weekend is a target! It is the annual vintage trailer rally. You can be in your new airstream and no one minds. Love to meet you. The next time I have folks in the shop will be when frame is rebuilt, belly pan on and time for a shell on party. What is that? It's when we reattach my Globetrotter back to Click image for larger version

Like my BMW aspirations.. I just want to ride and learn more about that hobby and the same can be said for this experience. I learned a lot from the Web and Air Forums has been a great resource. I just wish more folks would post picture s of their projects and become supporting members.
Is the Spokane WBCCI group coming together?

Hi Ron & Karen! That sounds like a wonderful new trailer! I'm jealous that you've been to Yellowstone, because that is on my 'must do soon' list along with Yosemite Of course, we've had our trailer 12 years and haven't been to some of the big attractions right around here, like Crater Lake - but we took it to Oklahoma! It's funny how things work out.

I was invited. You could friend me on Facebook. Dena Marean. And I can send you link. Tin Can is not the sponsor. I also posted a link for it a few weeks ago on my airstream FB page called Glamper Girl. It is Father's Day weekend. In the park.

Heading to Deception Pass SP for the weekend. I think there's going to be a WBCCI event at the resort across the highway. Looking forward to seeing aluminum!
