it seems to me that we have a Forum Member here, Devoman, that already knows a lot about creating WBCCI / AIR / Airstream letters, numbers, plates and other indicia with which to identify and adorn our beloved trailers and MHs....

does TAC have a Procurement Officer, or a Purchasing Department yet?

how about just a Parts Department?

if we need a Graphic Designer, our friend Kim is pretty sharp! kimkatzdesignpage1 , Kim Katz - LinkedIn , and Kim Katz - Graphic Designer - New York, New York

we've got some pretty good signmakers and labelmakers around here that might also love a few (hundred? ) orders.

I'm way too tall to play Radar O'Reilly, but I could try?

what do you think?

best,

I've been meaning to join sooner, but I've been busy with work. As I wrote in my email to airstreamnut, I'd like to take "Army-7" as my member number....since I'm in the Army and don't really have a home, I'd like to represent the Military portion of our membership. Army-7 is a play on the call signs we use on the radio. "7" denotes the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the unit. "6" denotes the Senior Officer.....ROB! Oh crap, we need a new emoticon. Does this mean I'll get a letter now?

The rally in Quartzsite isn't over...it's a work in progress...can't seem to find the rulebook for proper rally planning, so we're just kinda winging it...let's see:
trailer(or moho)...silver
place to park
campfire ring(or firedancer)
awnings, if ya want 'em
libations
oh, yeah, FOOD
matches would maybe help with that campfire
did I forget firewood?
uhm, people would probably add to the mix
if we find the rulebook, we can use it with the wood and matches(NOT the BB-not even good for firestarter)
I'm sure there are a gazillion other minutiae, but my beer is getting warm(er)
where are you folks???

I've landed

I could send out one of those famous "I'm on the road, I'll get to you when I can" emails.. but I won't... ha!

I've landed here in San Diego and will be getting to my oh, say 30 TAC emails when I get to my hotel room.

Thanks everyone... 122 members on AIR site so far!! as you can imagine, I'm just a little overwhelmed with all the responses... so please bear with me on email responses...

Rob

People, I want to say thank you to each and every one of you new members. I feel everyone is understanding the spirit of this club. It is your participation and your input that insures you get out out of it what you want it to be.

We have our first rally fully underway, perhaps a second one too. Other gatherings are being planned. I have never been to a luncheon. My former WBCCI Unit did not have them. I suddenly feel the desire. Does anyone in the Baltimore region want to have a luncheon one day?

Trailers are being renumbered or in some cases numbered for the first time. Some are continuing with no numbers on their trailers at all. Some are red, some are blue, some are black what color is for you? (Kind of Dr Suess if you read it right)

Those with a need for rules are making them up and those that desire no structure are finding what they need too.

Volunteers are volunteering volumes of help of all sorts...

Everything is falling into place nicely. I, and hopefully the collective We, have a big smile on my/our faces.

Thank you again.

PS I was serious about a luncheon. If anyone in the Baltimore/ DC/ Fredrick area wants to get together for a luncheon, please drop me a line.

Well I going to jump into as well. Even though we are full timing we made our "legal resident" status in South Dakota. All my family is still in indiana.

Charon is a Tattoo Artist of national note, and we both swallow swords at fairs and festivals we perform next at the up coming TCT event in FL.

So we're claiming a TAC No. of FT1 for Full Time One. We still like being From Parts Unknown but PU1 lacks something....

I spoke with Rob this morning via email...us Military folk will be US-#, like the full-timers, since we're vagabonds every 2/3/4 years.

I got US-7.

I'm glad to see this happening, but I have questions. Has Airstream okayed the use of the name? We still live in a world of insurance and liability claims—what's the plan, if one, to protect club leaders and those who organize rallies?
