Woodysdad, you are already a member of the group, so whatever you did, it looks like it already worked.

The actual link to join the forum is: http://www.airforums.com/forums/prof...editusergroups -- this is a different link then joining the "club" within airforums. Click on the link above, and you'll see a listing of all of the "private" FORUM groups. You should see The Airstreamers Club (TAC) listed there with a series of radio buttons on the right-hand side.
Please PM me or send me an email to webmaster@theairstreamersclub.org if you're still having issues.
I have confirmed that you (WOODYSDAD) are not currently a member of the private forum for TAC.
Thanks

For everyone interested in joining TAC, remember that you'll need to fill out the registration information located on our website ( The Airstreamer's Club) before requesting the forum membership (there's a huge JOIN NOW button on the homepage) -- this way we can keep all of the membership information in line and in sync.
Thanks so much everyone!

Shawn,
Thanks for the info, I did not realize that. All this time I have been directing everyone to the forums group page. I have corrected that and now the link goes to our TAC website.

No worries, they all come to the same people, and eventually we'll get the registrations sorted out -- just easier this way.
Thanks!

Welcome Tazameir! These threads go hot and cold depending on what's being discussed and how busy we all are. Be sure to check out the new newsletter that Winestream put out yesterday.

I still follow the old rules, and remove the American flag at night. But I heard they did change the rules a while back, and allow it to be flown in the dark now. Hmm.. I just went a looked, I wonder if my information was wrong.. Looks like you *are* still supposed to illuminate it at night. Well in any case, I'll still keep a light on it.

I own property in Mojave, CA... It's a few acres a few miles from "down town". Probably would be a good spot to boondock. I'll have to check the "local rules" to see if I can do that. Possibility for a run there in a year or 2..

Funny.. I kept thinking.. I know that term.. Then realized it's the name of a friend of mine's company. "Conus Trucking"

Make sure you head over to the private forums now, which is where most of the action is nowadays. Unix or linux sysadmin?

Unix
Linux is just one of the many flavors of Unix.. So.. Unix would be generic for a bunch of em. I work with probably 4 different versions of linux, also FreeBSD, Solaris, SunOS, OpenBSD, NetBSD, etc.. Used to do NeXT even. They're just tools, and depends on what the employers what me to use, is what I work with. Most of the commands are similar, and man pages are your friend. I contract out and use what they want. I do miss the old days when there was only a few.. Personally on my own servers I still prefer FreeBSD and don't use any GUI.
