First Responder Active/Retired
Is their an interest in a club like this? I’m retired law enforcement and would like to see if there are likeminded brothers/sisters who, when bad stuff happens, their first move is toward the problem, not away from it.
In particular, I would sleep a lot better boondocking with guys/gals who have this mind set.
Thank you.

Awesome NCMEDIC! That makes two of us. Does NC stand for North Carolina? When I was a Deputy Sheriff in South Carolina, way back when, you guys would often beat us to the scene and already be rendering aid.
I’ll send you a pm.
Take care.

Service never ends....
Can an old Jarhead join...If it hadn't been for the first responders I may have been in a world of hurt.
With Respect...

Yes, I worked the crazy streets of Charlotte on the overnight shift 1830-0630. I always joked that it was the only job I’d ever had where I could go to work on a Friday night with a good probability of seeing a drunk midget fall out of a plum tree and hit every limb on the way down.

Absolutely! Jarheads are most welcome! I tried 5 times to get in the Marines, but kept getting a road block. I did make it to Quantico, but was labeled NPQ due to a back injury and they sent me home. A decade later, I did make it to Quantico as a New Agent with the FBI. Every time I would go for run, I would pass by the sign to Camp Upshur and smile and think “I’m back.”
First responders and Military are a great match. Our SWAT Team would train CQB with Army Delta and Navy Seals.
I’ll pm you, and thank you for your service!

I maybe/should have included military in this title. There are many who wore our county’s uniform into battle with heroism beyond comprehension. I have personally trained with Delta and Seal Teams at their separate facilities (Fort Bragg & Virginia Beach) and have found the same mentality as First Responders.
I think all Marines, both Active and Former have in them the same mentality. Why else would they be a Marine?
I have a good friend who was the flight coordinator in the first AWACS plane to fly over Baghdad during Desert Storm. His responsibility was to coordinate all sorties for the first 18 hours of the battle. He told me that General Schwarzkopf advised President Bush that we would, at least, loose the first two AWACS planes in the first hours of the battle. Going up in that plane knowing you are not coming home; now that’s the right stuff!
How can I change the title?
