Escapade - Tuscon

My husband and I are newbies. We just purchased our TV (2016 Chevy 2500), and will be purchasing a 30' Classic as soon as our house sells.

I just read about an event called Escapade, which, at least on paper sounds like a great educational opportunity to learn some basics on RVing.

Has anyone attended in previous years, or know anything about it? Thoughts, suggestions and advice are very much appreciated.

We never been but we were thinking about stopping by just to go check it out.

Put on by the Escapee's RV organization as an educational and social get together for Rv enthusiasts.

They'll have booths with equipment and vendors from different places.

Sound like some of the seminars could be informative.

I think there is another thread or two on the subject that may contain useful information.

I've heard only positive things about Escapades. I think you can attend without being a member of Escapees although the member price may be lower than non-members.

We really wanted to attend the upcoming Escapade but we'll have to settle for 2018.

We’ve been members of Escapees for about 12 years now - use them mainly for the mailing address when we’re on the road and have stayed at many of their parks. Haven’t yet been to an Escapade but have talked with many who have - they rave about ‘em. Good organization & resource dedicated to the RV lifestyle.

Some info on the Escapade in Tucson: https://www.escapees.com/knowledge/e.../57th-escapade

Have fun with your new Airstream!

We've been members of the Escapees since 2008, when I first tried out the snowbird's lifestyle and stayed in their parks. Four years ago I went to my first Escapade (in Indiana) as a "row rep" for our co-op (RoVers' Roost in Casa Grande, AZ). It was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational event. While there I met with the reps for the Ontario chapter and joined that chapter. I've been to the chapter rallies, hosted one for them and have gone to every Escapade since (Tucson AZ and then Essex Junction VT). I'll be at the upcoming Escapade in Tucson as row rep for the Ontario chapter. Please drop over to our row table at the Escapade.
