What's this Airstream? It was my Grandmother's

Here is a picture of my Grandmother's Airstream. The picture was taken in the late 1960's. I just ran across the picture today while looking through some of her old files. The files contained all the items she thought were very important to keep so I know she loved that Airstream. The picture ranked right up there with all the family pictures. I hope the quality is good enough to identify.

This Airstream was used as a fishing camp in a cove of Lake Eufala, Oklahoma from about 1965 to 1975. We had a family compound on the lake and my uncle found this Airstream and installed it for my Grandmother's use. I am sure it was used when she purchased it. She loved to fish and, since, all her children had their own adjacent camps, she wanted her own place to enjoy with us. It was my first experience with an Airstream and I just loved it--the sheen of the aluminum and the wood inside. My Grandmother and I had lovely talks on her patio outside (until the steamy Oklahoma heat and mosquitoes drove us inside!) After her death, a dentist bought it to refurbish and hauled it away. I do wonder what happened to it. Guess I will never know.

However, I would just love to know the year and model of this Airstream. I have no other information other than this snapshot taken years ago. Can any of you Airstream Gurus help me out??

Thanks,
Caryl

Looks like a 58-60 Safari.

Any idea of the length? Or were all Safari's of that vintage the same length?

Could be a Safari or Flying Cloud. 22' Probably a 57 or 58.

See here-

Look at the 57-58 22' Flying Clouds, Falcons, Caravanners and Safaris.

Lovely.

Would be fun for you to find out where it is now.

Maybe someone will recognize it and the story, and post something here.

Caryl, If you can find any old paperwork (registration or insurance, etc.) you will have the serial number. If you can find that it will help in your search!

Thanks, Steve, but all I have is one small picture and memories. It would be fun to know what happened to it, wouldn't it?

She did make lasting memories for me. We are on our third Airstream and think we have the perfect one now. I hope to pass it on to my kids!
