Hmmmm,

It looks like a morning picture.

PeeWee hinted the pot contained something warm...

Coffee, wash water and "previously enjoyed" food have all been covered...

So I''ll add to my guesses the only think I can think of.

Wally is toteing breakfast somewhere.

A bath trip

The bottoms of both pots look scorched. Heated water for washing and rinsing?
Don't see a towel tho.
The pot on the right does have that "special" look to it, but no obvious lid.
Is he heading out to feed the chickens or some other critters?
Is that too many guesses?

Uh oh seems like my morning coffee isn't decaf after all.

To me it looks like he's doing the Jack and Jill thing. By the way his hair looks he has already taken that tumble and lost his crown (take that to mean beret). If I might be so bold to add, if he was wearing some more sensible shoes he probably would'nt have taken that fall in the first place.

Bob,

Pack mules! Cool. I would have never guessed. So did Wally take Pike and Jenny places the Airstream couldn't go, i.e. to the bottom of the Grand Canyon?

There is a wealth of information about Wally, his cousin Helen and her son Dale (PeeWee) on the Sierra Nevada Unit website. That is where I found the picture. Thanks for giving credit where credit is due.

My guess...

Pot of Malt-o-Meal (covered pot) and Boiled eggs in the open pot. For the Wally Breakfast Caravan Club or WBCC members.

I suspect the "seasoned" veterans that remember times without plumbing have a pretty good idea of what's going on there. (oh, not pretty). (oh not good either).

Just so ya know... You're killin me!

Since I wasn't around for the glory days of yore. I'm doin my best to make these the glory days. Everybody is welcome to join in.

All you have to do is load up your Airstream and go somewhere see something and do something. To make it even better bring family and friends.

Seeking the zen of yore...

Observing his posture and dress
Sir Wally was likely considering
his place in the universe.

With a jug of yin in one hand
and a bucket of yang in the other.

Time elapsed and he has
surrendered to the morning light.

The more carefully laid plan was
to be taking care of business in
less illumination...

Not sure what's in the pots...is that even important? But what he is doing is going to "see what’s over the [next] hill, and the one after that, and the one after that."
