Vintage Airstream Chairs??

A friend found 4 of these folding, cane-back and seat chairs. He says they came from his in-laws, who got them when they bought their new Airstream trailer back in the 70's. He told us that they were either purchased at the same time as the trailer, or they were a 'promotional' gift at that time.
There are no manufacture labels or stamps on the chairs. The back and seat are maple wood frames, with the chair frame shiny metal. Not exactly sure what kind of metal.
Three of the chairs were damaged on the seats, but we found a wonderful local guy who can do the repairs for us!! He's been doing cane and wicker furniture since 1953 and told us that he's never seen chairs like these. They'll be ready this week.
We're wondering if anyone can verify that for us??

The frames look similar to the zip dee chairs that came with our safari, although ours are not wicker. Those are neat looking chairs!! zz

I have a similar pair of chairs that came with the trailer in 1977 but instead of wicker they have brown plastic. We use them when we have guests inside for dinner.

Thanks ! !

We were considering selling these chairs, but have since decided to keep them and use them for guests..... either inside or outside the trailer.

Wow, neat. If you think you want to sell them, PM me, but if I were you, I'd hang onto them!

pretty!

I love how flat they fold, Gypsygirl. Very nice, compact chairs. I wonder if they can stow in an arm of the gaucho...?
