number made in 1980

Does anyone know how many trailers airstream made in 1980? Read that the total was less than 100. Also of those made looking to find out how many where the 24ft Caravelle. Not much info out there that I can find.

We have a 1980 24 Foot Caravelle that is in excellent original condition... original upholstery, carpet, fridge, stove etc. We have replaced the furnace and hot water tank. We also have an original manual. Ours is currently tarped up until the end of winter but we may be about to help out with some stuff. We do have some interior photos in our gallery. It's the front dinette, mid twin, rear bath model.

There "less than 100" statement about 1980 Airstreams has been often repeated, but I tend to doubt that figure. I am starting a 1980 Serial Number log to try to help discover the truth, but right now I am guessing that more like 400 to 600 1980 Airstreams were built, a mix of Caravalles, Internationals, Excella IIs, and possible Argosies. See my recent post on the 1980 Serial Number Log by following this thread and possibly consider addition your serial number to it:

Thanks in advance.
