Minuet Argosy with Aluminum floor?

Does anyone have any literature or documentation of the aluminum floors being installed in certain Minuet trailers?

Would like to have this information for my new trailers "Me" book.

Thank you.

In the details it lists the composite aluminum floors. We have a Minuet 6.0 with aluminum floors. They’re pretty cool!

Hi Allarounder,
This topic has been discussed quite a few times on AirForums. Here is a link to a google search that turns up many such discussions:
https://www.google.com/search?q=argo...w=1922&bih=967

The expert on this topic is an Airforums member Kevin Allen who goes by the forum name Overlander64. Summarizing, he seems to think:
  • 6.0 Metre Minuets: Most (but not all) had aluminum floors.
  • 6.7 Metre Minuets: Some had aluminum floors
  • 7.3 Metre Minuets: None had aluminum floors
You might reach out to Kevin to see what documentation he has to share.

Here are links to some of Kevin's posts for you to do more research on the topic:

I’ve heard speculation on the VAP podcast that it was due to cost and/or possible delamination issues.

I specifically sought out our Minuet for them and am glad to have them.

My own experience with the aluminum floor was that it stretched and sagged with foot traffic down the center isle over time (just a little). Newer aluminum wafer sheets have probably solved that problem but they are expensive. My minuet was rot free however and super light - both good things
