High Level Boondocking 1960
No in my wildest dreams, did anyone on the Caravan think they would be parking at the Pyramids.
And there we are with a pyramid in our front yard.

Pee Wee, I always thought of the pyramids as being in the middle of a desert. I see on Google earth that the suberbs are encroaching into the area. Was it like that when you were there?

Population floods the land faster than the Nile

Yes, the encroachment started may centuries ago. The life-line of
Egypt is the Nile and their meager agriculture, and mudhuts have crowed the bank for years.
In 1960 the growing population began gobbling up areas to build business, and residental accomodations.
For an arrid land their population is truly disproportionate to usable land.

Is it a "coincidence" that the rigs are configured to match a now-famous crop circle photographed in England?
. . more than one witness attests to an eerily-arranged configuration of shiny aluminum pods on the skirts of the Great Pyramid.

Same scene different view of the Giza encampment
This is a managed black and white picture.
A better view of the African Caravan in Cario, 1960.

If you haven't been to the Sierra Nevada Unit's website, there is more pictures, stories, and artifacts. Most of the items have not been published.
Thank you for your kind words, and here is the site.
