Help with 1961 Overlander history please

Does anyone have any materials that could help identify previous owners of this California built trailer? WBCCI number is 3875, and has a ghost of a sticker that read "Wally Byam's Caravan".

Would love any insights that can be provided, I recently bought this trailer and am gearing up for a rebuild. The floor is completely shot, the kitchen and front lounge area are missing, but the shell is in really good shape and we are excited for the process of getting her back on the road.

I normally only answer such questions in this thread:
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f286...ber-19191.html

But I have a little time right now, so I will provide a partial answer here. According to the 1960 thru 1967 WBCCI Membership Directories, WBCCI #3875 was assigned to Clifford & Madge Watkins of Burlington, IA. As of 1967, the Watkins had participated on the following caravans:
  • 29 - Mexico Winter 1962
  • 33 - Eastern Canada Summer 1963
It is quite possible that this Airstream participated on the above mentioned caravans, but I cannot prove it as the club did not keep records of the Airstream owned by club members, nor used on caravans.
