We didnít restore to sell. The only way we would is exactly that, to Jackson Center, but it would have to be very generous. This has been a labor of love and Iíd have a hard time letting it go.

You have to camp in that thing! You can't put that much blood sweat and tears in to a thing like that and sell it - even to AS. Go camp and enjoy the fruits of your labors and awesome skills!!

Even as a spectator, I'm so excited for you guys. You have done an amazing resto on this one of a kind historical Airstream.

Did you ever decide on those items I sent you a picture?

Are you going to charge for tours? An amazing job done well that I can only imagine and know I would never deliver like you have.

Still, a serious question about how you handle "Tours" of all your blood, sweat, and tears......

We will try to have it a few club functions each year. With the cork floors we won't be having tons of walk through's unless I figure out something really effective for floor protection that itself doesn't harm it. With 7 full size windows it is easy to see every inch inside though.

Thanks for the compliments, I still have a ton to finish, she'll look the part but after international gas lines and water lines, finish details etc will still need to be knocked out.

This week I need to get all the lights back on, antenna, door holdbacks, all the airstream badges, the bike rack, license light and plate.

Next week the lettering happens, then I can focus on bearings and seals, brakes, painting rims and that type of stuff. Then June is make cabinet doors, finish the front couch, all the trim work, touch ups inside, etc etc etc.

Very impressive restoration Goransons. I watched this thread from the beginning and now, you need three more wheel denver boots. Hide a tracking device in her somewhere. I would seriously think about museums. You will never enjoy camping in it without worrying about Airstream's Holy Grail. Again good job Goransons.

We we're at a vintage show where they had a door mat inside the doorway, had it ropped off just inside the doorway and had a shelf for shoes outside. So essentially the tour was one person at a time and you could look to the right and look to the left and still had plenty of room to take pictures and point things out to the owner that he could further explain. We didn't mind taking shoes off and I fully understood not being able to walk around in the whole trailer.

With regard to the question about tours, and your mention of windows to look through. Something to consider given what you have done to get the paint right is a sign I once saw at the Auburn, Cord, Dusenberg festival to consider: If you aren't naked please do not lean on, touch, or come close to this vehicle and the paint as it will scratch.....just saying roped off to keep a safe distance from your exterior paint is well worth considering in my opinion as well. You can then be the judge as to whether a person is worthy of a more personal tour that is hosted by you at your convenience.
