There were a couple of Airstream caravans that hit Europe. Which ones made it to the UK and how many trailers were there?

I'm looking for historical details of Wally Byam's European "caravans" in the 1950's. Did he make it to the UK? If he did, how many trailers came with him?

Collytwin2 - yes there is a UK forum. Have a look at UKAirstreamers. There are a lot of links to UK Airstream-related companies and services along with a forum for UK owners.

We've just held our fourth get-together where 29 Airstreams made it to a great weekend in Shropshire. This is the reason for my original question - is this the largest ever Airstream gathering in the UK?
