Are you sure those rivets are to scale, Brad? They look a little large to me.
No really, That is awesome, you did a great job, I am impressed. More pics please?

Thanks all for the kind words and no, the rivets are not to scale. They would have been too small to work with if they were.
I'll post more pix soon.

A few more pix. I'm hoping I can get it ready to travel so I can take it to the restoration rally tomorrow. Very close.

Good Enough to be used a stand in
Brad,
I had to look very, very close to validate that this is your minature Scout Truck. Outdoors in comes alive.
Really, really nice.

Hey Brad, I just wanted to say again how much I like your Scout Vehicle. Those outside shots are lifelike that I had to save them. Thanks for posting them.

Here is the original in Nairobi, Kenya.
There is not enough praise for Brad's African Advance Scout Truck.
Kudos!

I seriously thought i misread the post.. At first it thought it was a scaled down model and was amazed at the detail.. then in the sand I was sure it was a restored truck with the camper on the back.. Had to go back and reread what the heck i was actually looking at..
Again.. Great job.

I did the same thing, I kept thinking where did the Scout Truck come from all of a sudden and in such good shape.

Brad, I think this good practice for a full size one. I have been looking around for the truck, but they are few and far between. One will turn up for sure. I bet you could start a non profit and find a bunch of sponsors to help with the project. We are seeing a rebounding economy now and corporations are all going to be looking for ways just like this to get their name out there. This would be a fitting way to get Dale back on the road with the WBCCI.

How cool would that be!
Brad, do you think you could have a fully restored full-sized version ready to go in time for International? That way PeeWee and Frank could use it to haul Anna on the WDCU caravan!
Anyway, beautiful work on the replica. Like others, I literally did a double-take because it looked like the real thing, especially those outdoor shots!

Scale Scout Truck Update
Since its so blasted hot outside, I got back to work on the truck. It's sooo close to being done now that I'm working out in my mind how I want to make the base and display. I have a good idea of what I want its just getting it to come out the way I want it.
Anyway, here's a picture. Still have the passenger side mirror to do along with the front bumper. Then its putting it all together and onto the base.
Stay tuned...
Brad

Brad,
As the Scout Truck nears completion, the life is being put back into the original.
What a great effort.
