Andy Charles

What happened to Andy Charles? The last mention of him in the books I have read is he led the around the world carravan. No mention of him after that. Did he stay with Airstream? Did he just retire after the carravan? I'll bet Pee Wee can answer this.
Thanks, Tom

Andrew Charles Revisited

First of all get the book by Russ Banham, Wanderlust, Airstream at 75. This will go into information that will fill in the story of AC at Airstream.

Wally first Andy at Lockheed during the 2nd World War.

Wally picked Andy to head up the new Jackson Center plant.

Andy basically was out of Airstream after the Around the World Caravan, which he led.

He retired to Europe, I believe Germany.

He passed away 6 or 8 years ago.

You will find an interesting clipping that I posted about the Charles brothers.

Tim left Airstream and went to work with the Thetford Coporation, making potties.

Andy's son Nick lives in California, his daughter Christine is married and lives somewhere in the mid-West (I believe). Andy's former wife passed away before Andy did.

Thanks PeeWee. I do have that book that you mention, and I've read it several times, but no mention of him after the around the world trip. I knew you would answer my question! Thanks, Tom
