African Caravan Mileage (Updated Weekly)
I will post a weekly travel log for the 1959 African Caravan. It will be taken from Lillie Douglass's book CapeTown to Cairo. If you can obtain road maps, do so, and follow the route.

The Zulu culture was old and colorful. One of the tourist attractions was the Zulu Ricksha's. Here is see Wally seated, while the Zulu warrior glides into the air.

I am following this thread and the weekly updates. I just finished the Wanderlust coffeetable book that was sent to me by Airstream Marketing and was surprised at the end to find a great dvd inside the back cover. It has a great deal of video info on the caravans and background on Wally and Airstream. What a gem! Thanks Again for all the memories you are sharing with all of us here! Happy Trails, Ed

"Hey" everyone come to the Cape to Cairo, or the Wilds Rallies.
If you not going to be there, here we go through the next five weeks of African Caravanning.
Because I will away for the two rallies and then a few days in Jackson Center, I feel it necessary to post Week 8, through Week 12.
