Well, it's pretty slim. Although the thought did cross my mind. I initially spoke with the owner & tried to email him. That's when things went awry. The owner is a refined man & the guy who emailed me back was, frankly, nuts. The owner had no obligation to phone anyone, but he was in the process of phoning those people who the ex-employee ticked off. I give him credit for fessing up at all (not that I've signed up with him). He answered all of my questions in a way that I thought was truthful (guy's name, where he's from, etc.), so I think he's on the up & up. Anyhow, as I've told my DH, if my biggest fault is trusting people too much, then so be it. There are a lot worse faults!
