Tom,

You bring up a good point that I've been thinking about for sometime now. The idea of having a sub group for the vintage trailers would be great. Especially, for the 40's and 50's models that have very similar builds, problems, etc. I have found it pretty hard to narrow down repair information on this site due to the fact we're dealing with about 70+ or more years worth of innovation. I think there are a lot of forum members own vintage trailers as well as the modern coaches so it's hard to separate the two. I would like to break it down as follows: Vintage would cover 30's-50's, Retro 60's-80's and Modern 90's-Present. I don't know.
PErhaps one of the administrators will see this thread and think on this with us. All ideas are welcome.

1940s-50s Sub-Forum Idea

Ben,
I posted your sub-forum idea for 1940s-50s Airstreams in the Community section to see if there might be some interest/support. Hopefully the thought will grab hold with enough folks. You also suggested other groupings i.e 60s-70s etc. but I wanted to start small with that closest to my (and your) heart.

By the way you may have seen my post in the frame/flooring repair section entitled "Tube Frame Debate" which received some helpful information (although I know you have already dealt with your frame issue). If you've not seen it you might want to check it out.
