Tonight we went to our local pub. Hubby had a club sandwich and I had a French dip (no cheese). We only went out because I got the pot roast started late this morning in the crockpot and it wasn't done at dinner time. So tomorrow night we will have:
Venison pot roast in mushroom gravy
Red skin potatos
Cresent rolls (I got them on sale, with a coupon)
Green beans

Apples and Oranges tonight.
We had a huge seafood lunch today at "The Shanty" on the Burlington, VT Lake Champlain shore. This is one of 'the places' to hit in Burlington.

I've kept quite on this thread in the past, but having noticed a fair amount of activity on the subject over the past few days, I figure I will chime in.
We do a fair amont of work overseas, and we usually eat the local fare when traveling. In the past this has included Cavallo (Horse), Lingua (Cow Tongue) , Carpaccio (Raw Beef) and the Frutti de Mare (Squid, Prawns, and Octopus).
Tonight we ate octopus salad, which consisted of sauteed legs of various sizes, (some of which were whole) combined with seasoned potatoes, mixed in a flavored olive oil. It certainly made for a colorful presentation, and is not for the faint of heart, but it was dang good eats.
If I'd only had a camera...a picture really is worth a thousand words.

Seved over Fake potatoes (cauliflower steamed then mashed with butter buds and no fat cream chese). Topped with wine sauce made from @Tbls whole wheat flour, 2 tbls butter and 1 cup of sherry. Hey! Our dinner tonight was close to yours.
Homemade chicken soup served with potato bread made in my wicked old bread machine.
It was yummy!

I should hang my head in shame (but I won't).
Tonight we had BBQ ribs - from a package, just heated in the oven and Green Giant "Steamer" corn.
It was a pretty good dinner actually.......
