We have the Traveler and keep in the bed of the truck. I turn it width wise and put it at the front of the bed. It's been there since Nov and it is never in the way.
A little maneuvering to wheel it to the tailgate and lower it down, but not bad at all.
We also have the soft cover and it has a pocket for storing the grilling tools.

We have an older Airstream Weber Q with stand and cover. We store the grill and hoses in a plastic bin with a cover. We store it in the Airstream on a rug between the dinette and sofa. Never had a problem. No leaks and no odors.

In the bed of the truck. We have a cap so the bed is covered. It is stored on its side, with the two grill pieces in a separate plastic container with the gas connection cord, the grease pan and assorted BBQ necessities. The box/container holds the BBQ up on its side. I agree with above: don't put it inside the trailer. Too many possibilities for grease, dirt, and food particles to disperse and possible stain.

We originally travelled with our Weber traveler grill in the bed of our F250. I agree it takes up a lot of room. Eventually, took the traveler home for use on our balcony, and bought a 17” Blackstone for camping. The blackstone is a great camping grill and isn’t so large in the bed of the truck.

Our Weber 1200 goes in the back of the truck with all the other stuff It's in the grey tub (which doubles as a grill stand) under the red folding chairs in this photo.
This load, which is typical for us, is why I run an F250 with 3,111 pounds of payload capacity.

I am a Weber grill fan. I have a big one at home and a smaller one at our lot in Fl. But...for traveling all the nice Weber grills seemed to big for me. Basically they are too tall to fit in the space I had allowed. So...I carry and use the crappy little $75 sheetmetal Weber grill that is more made for camping. I made a woodenbox for it with handles and that will hold the tongs and stuff and 2 of the little gas bottles. I carry it in the back of the truck. The whole rig weighs about 20 lbs and is easy to pick up and carry.

We have the 1200 Q. It came with a nice carry bag. We carry it in the Caravel with 2 Mt bikes.

Our Weber Traveller used to go into the bed of our RAM 2500. I would not have put it inside theAirstream. A grill gets way too dirty in my opinion. Now, I say used to because the Traveller is now stored permanently in our garage. As we travelled with it for a few years, the stand started to weaken and was getting wobbly. I also thought that its very long size when folded took up too much bed space. We have now replaced it with a portable Napoleon barbecue. Much happier with the size. And we didn’t get a stand for it. Those things are inconvenient to store. We simply use the picnic table for a stand.

I've taken two trips with the Traveller in the truck bed. It does take up a lot of room, but so far, we've been able to fit everything else we carried in the bed without a problem.
I can see selling it and switching to a smaller grill in the future. I do like the fact that we don't need separate propane canisters for the Traveller and can plug it into the low-pressure propane port on the Trade Wind. Are there any smaller/portable grills that have a similar connection?

I gave my "Traveller" to a friend as house warming gift! I loved the O-Grill and used for several years. Now I have been using the smaller Webber Q1200 which works out fine. Doesn't take up much room, is light enough to easily move around, and I use the O-Grill folding table with the Webber now, or will also use tailgate if convenient.

This is the one I bought. Small, two separate burners and a low pressure conversion kit (sold separately) that allows you to connect to your Airstream’s quick connect. Love it.
