Lightbulb Paper Towel Solution (and other smart ideas.)

Just wanted to let all know we figured out a great way to store a roll of paper towel without drilling any holes etc. Actually, the credit should go to a great little website called TheBoatGalley.com--it's full of nifty ideas for living/cooking on a boat but many apply to us 'Streamers too. My wife loves it.
This tip involves a simple bungee cord--on our 23FB Flying Cloud there's a small gap at the top of the range hood in back where the bungee fits perfectly. It holds the paper towels just snug enough to keep them from unrolling on their own. Off the counter, easy to take down if the rear burner get called into action and mainly, no drilling into the aluminum skin.

(P.S. We are on our way to Alaska. Terrible wi-fi now, but will post picture when get better reception. You can follow along at our blog: On The Roll Again. | Follow the Silver Spud as it follows us..)

Great idea! I cut the middle out of a 2-Liter soda bottle and then made a cut from one end to the other and wrap it around the paper towels when we travel so they don't unravel during the trip - works great.

Good ideas, we use an old stretched out hair band. The kind that is a big loop that some women wear around their forehead around to the lower part of their skull.

We just loop it around the paper towels in the roll, and when we get where we're going we just have to slide it to one side and use the paper towels.
