If you don't know about Food52, Amanda Hesser - former New York Times Magazine food editor, cookbook author, American food writer, actress (she starred as herself in the movie Julie and Julia) and her friend Merrill Stubbs started this community recipe website. She left her cushy job at the Times to start this venture because she believes so strongly that a community of home cooks, online, sharing recipes together is where the future is heading.
I had the honor to meet Amanda at Benaroya Hall last week here in downtown Seattle where she gave a very interesting lecture about the future of food/cooking/sharing recipes/blogging, etc. and after I mustered up the courage to approach her on stage and give her my Airstream card for my blog and guess what? She tweeted me back the next morning that she thinks my blog is "Fabulous," and that they are thinking of doing an article about it.
Well!! Here's the article
