Picked up this Lodge Cook it All recently. Large and heavy but such a great one pot supper holder and quite versatile.

The images were unclear to these eyes, so here is the product. The "lid" is reversible -- either flat griddle or ribbed grill for steaks etc.:
https://www.lodgemfg.com/product/cas...all?sku=L14CIA
Diameter is only 14" FYI.
Not sure about putting this lid directly on a fire and grilling steaks that way. Seems precarious and subject to ash etc. spilling onto the surface IMO. As a wide and shallow "Dutch Oven" it looks great.
Thanks for the idea.

Otra, the flat lid can be put directly on a fire. One would not likely lay it or any other flat griddle/grill in the ash. Propping it, on rocks or a rack, would keep it higher and most of the ash away.
Lodge cooking rack works well.

Thanks for the rack info.
A reminder for everyone that there is also a Dutch Oven thread, with lots of good products and ideas:
https://www.airforums.com/forums/f48...ing-40090.html
In my personal opinion . . . the dutch oven function of this Lodge CIA setup is too low/short for using directly on top of a campfire . . . not to mention that the 14" diameter is also on the small side.

I for one would have a hard time managing anything larger. Do they really make them larger than 14 inches? How heavy would that be? Yikes.

I guess you are correct Carol . . . 14" +/- is about the max. I was picturing this 9 Quart one with a bale handle as larger, but it is not:

I bought an aluminum cast Dutch oven for our AS, has no legs, but has a lip lid to hold coals. It's about the size of a #12 Lodge. Obviously much lighter than a cast iron Dutch oven. You must be more careful with the coals but it works just the same as a regular DO.

Of course if the Dutch Oven is too big and heavy for your Airstream they do make bigger tow vehicles. Think F-450, F-550 etc. Where there's a will there's a WAY

My contribution
I had posted two of these in the June Photo Contest, so if you have seen them before, sorry for the repeat. Here is what we do when we go camping. My DIY Rotisserie set up, and our 3 gallon 3 legged cast iron pot used as a fryer. Yeah, I'm a little lazy with the use of the fryer.....I have a gas burner and it's the only time I use gas with the exception of the 55 year old Primus 2 burner stove we still use.

I believe if I ever came across one of these for sale, I might just have to have it.

I really don’t know, as I happened across the picture online.
I can’t find any other picture of these but this one, and of course can’t find it for sale.
It looks mass produced, don’t you think?
I’ve googled “antique pie iron”, with no success, but suspect it is actually not a “pie iron” but a baker of some sort.
I would looooove to have one.

Could it be an old loaf pan?? Found where Wagner Ware made one years ago that looks like this. See if this link brought it up. Not sure how to post a pic.
