Seems Like I saw that smoker on "Good Eats". Looks like it works fine.
Will post again as soon as I have the surgeon fix the coronary occlusion just looking at that!.

The smoker is a flowerpot smoker from Good Eats. I have made4 or 5 of them and have given them out as gifts. They work great and don't cost near what a ceramic cooker does.
Nice thing is you can order a presmoked Bacon explosion and have it shipped on dry ice for you...no smoker needed.

I made a flower pot smoker too. I take it camping & throw on a couple of chickens before we go out for the day. Love it! Might have to make the bacon explosion on it!!

We had chocolate covered bacon at the state fair. It was surprisingly good!

It's legal, but I think you have to get a prescription for that now...

No post with Bacon in the title is complete without the obligatory reference to the Bacon Explosion. I have made them a couple of times at rally events and they seem to be quite intriguing.

Now that is what I am talking about, wow! Have to try it before the Dr. tells me to cut down on that type of eating.

Viral?
This will be the 32nd post in a thread that was started by pictures of food (sort of!).... That, in and of itself, is much stranger than the food.

Try this recipe.
Handmade ground beef patties, topped with sharp cheddar cheese,
wrapped in a bacon weave, then the next step, add hotdogs as the heads,
legs with slits for toes and tail.
Next step.
Place on an oven rack,
covered loosely with foil and baked for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees.
A little crispy, not too crunchy... just how a turtle should be,
no?

Bacon Explosion In Pennsylvania
Two weekends ago another bacon lover and I decided to try to create a Bacon Explosion while up at Penn Wood Airstream Park. It was a success and we're already planning our next Bacon Explosion. It was so good that our wives even agreed it tasted great. The women had their slice plain and the men had theirs on sourdough toast with scrambled eggs, butter, and cheese. Plus we ate a few slices all by themselves. There was nothing left, but a few crumbs.

After selling my BBQ rig smoker, the Alton Brown's Clay Egg is all I use for smoking as seen in my pics above.
I actually have burned out several hot plates, and have used a metal bowl filled with natural lump charcoal recently.
