What’s on your modification list for 2022?

We all know that part of the fun of Airstream ownership is modifying it to make it your own. This might include functional modifications, and it might include cosmetic modifications.

I’ve got my International 23FB setup perfectly for my needs, but there are always a few potential mods under consideration. My top two mods at this point are: adding two more 90W solar panels to the roof to bring my total to 360w, and upgrading to lithium batteries. I’m not sure if I’ll get this done in 2022 or not, but these mods are at the top of my list. I may get around to sticking my big red numbers on the Airstream at some point too.

What’s on your list for the coming year?

Still wrestling with cell / Internet solutions! Makes my head hurt.

Currently learning towards Full Timer package from mobilemusthave.com. Pepwave router with cell/wifi antenna. Was leaning Wifi Ranger Converge but their cell modem is in the outside antenna while mobilemusthave hardware is inside.

On the easy list: X-Chocks

Thinking about exterior metal upgrades to shower, heater vent etc.

Also thinking about the metal smart power upgrade to the plastic furrion 30amp.

Finally, have to install the new chrome rub rail I purchased last year to replace the foggy stuff falling off my 2017 28’
(A bit behind on that!)

Replacing the outside shower with the Dura Faucet quick connect sprayer.

I'd like to do something about the fridge fan noise if I can figure out what to try next.

I like several of these mods.
1.Adding more solar to the roof and upgrading to lithium batteries. (waiting for my AGM's to fail but they just don't give up)
2. Outdoor shower upgrade. Would love to have more pressure and a better head.

Our 'watermiser', turn on the hot water faucet, hold a jug under it, when it gets hot, turn it off, put a cap on the jug and save it for later.

Full solar, lithium, inverter system and a compost toilet with urine plumbed into the black tank makes an almost indefinite "off the grid" trailer. Your grey water holding capacity will almost be doubled. It a whole new world of convenience.

Upgrading foam on couch seat cushions. Undecided on dinette cushions as they don't get much sit time.

We have two upgrades planned.
1- convert the absorption fridge to a compressor fridge. We just aren’t happy with the performance of the absorption fridge and we have lithium batteries and solar to power the fridge.
2. Learn how to use the router and antenna that we have purchased to have a working internet on the road.
