WBCCI number spoofs?

I am not a member of WBCCI and might get some flack for suggesting this, but I just thought it might be a nutty idea to put some numbers on the trailer as sort of an inside joke for other Airstream owners. 007, 69, 666, other possibilities as well. Maybe use a color other than red.

Anyone done this or seen it?

You can use your air forums number or whatever floats your boat. Kind of unusual though. Jim

Not exactly sure what your point is. I can tell that joining my local unit of WBCCI is one of the best things I have done since buying my Airstream in '09.

The Red numbers are given out to give your identity to others of who we are.

I think that you should check out the club, I am sure it would be worth it!

Footnote: I am originally from Milford, CT!

I don't know that I've seen it but at first blush, I'm not a fan of the idea. It feels like a disrespectful misappropriation of a meaningful symbol of a group. It would be similar to a spoof on a fraternal org logo (Elks, Lions, Rotary) or religious symbol (cross, star, crescent).

At the same time, in America, we've got free speech so if that floats your boat, have at it and I'll just reserve my right to not be a fan.

About the only reason I can see for doing something like that would be to make it unique enough to identify at a glance in case it's ever stolen. "Yes, officer, that's my trailer all right. See that big green number over the rear window? That's my wife's bra size in millimeters!"

But as other have said, free speech is your right. Just don't put anything on there that you'd be embarassed to explain to a child (i.e. probably not "69" unless it has some other meaning for you).

I believe that there is a TAC member that has a blue 69 on his trailer.

I had a big red 69 on the sleeve of my high school coat because I graduated in 1969. Back then it took two years for my dad to allow it for the reason that Protagonist alluded to.

Whatever makes you happy. I'd go for something more artistic though. You could get a sign shop to make you just about anything you could imagine.

I have the SAME number for WBCCI and Air Forum. I did not want to have two sets of numbers (one red and one blue) on my AS, so I went to the local sign shop and we used a red white blue vinyl (American Flag design) and made my numbers from that. At the same time I show my colors.
I believe that the TAC color is green.
I have tried to post pictures, but won't take; operator error.
