We have a problem with our Sony Media Player which we have already discussed in this thread:
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f450...lp-131508.html
Basically, when watching TV or the DVD, the sound of talking voices is very quiet. All other sound is fine, but when people talk - it's very very low. When this happens, our only option is to turn it off. It's impossible to watch TV when this is happening.
We thought it had something to do with the fader/balance setting, but that does not seem to be the problem. This last weekend, we had the problem Friday night, but it worked fine Saturday night. And we changed the fader/balance setting back and forth on Saturday and it had no effect.
We've taken it to the dealer several times, and they can't recreate the problem (it always works fine when they have it), so they can't fix it. Our dealer advised us to call Airstream customer support, which we did. We were told the same thing. Without them being able to recreate the problem, they can't fix it.
We have an appointment with our dealer AGAIN next week to address this issue - as well as a few other warranty issues.
So here's my question. If everything works fine when it's in the shop, what options do we have to get this fixed? Our 2-year warranty expires in July. This is an ongoing problem, it seems Airstream should fix it. I can see their point of view (if they can't hear the problem, how can they fix it), but surely we have to have options.
Any recommendations on what we can do to ensure this gets fixed under warranty?
