I'm new to Airstreams, but I bought a 69 Overlander, and arranged to have it towed from seller's place to mine. I was supposed to have it over the weekend, but the driver had something come up and very politely asked if it would be okay if he was a couple days late. No problem, I said, as this guy has been busting his hump to make sure a 44 year old trailer is roadworthy. Now my trailer is stuck on the wrong side of the snowstorm that has shut down interstates all over Wyoming. I desperately want to see and start working on my new toy, and the waiting is driving me crazy.

Anyone who watches action/adventure movies knows, the only real difference between a disaster and an adventure is whether you survive to tell the story. Well, you've already got a story out of this, so it's not a disaster. Even if it's only your trailer, and not you, having the adventure.

What Maggie said-- Do you really want it dragged through a blizzard and delivered covered in corrosive road salt and grime? Patience is never easy my friend but is often worth it.

"SHOULD BE" arriving today. The driver has put up with two days of forced waiting, constant phone calls from me, and was planning on driving through the night. I'm thinking the guy has earned a little extra and can count on a generous tip.
