Change "airstream" to "business" and see if it looks the same to you. What it sounds like to me is the parks telling me they don't want my business.

What annoys me about these 10-year rules is that it's a poor tool to accomplish what they want to accomplish, but they're too squeamish to just say "Your RV must be well-maintained both visually and mechanically" and turn away trashy equipment regardless of its age.

I feel this whole thing is a bit different situation with member owned RV parks too. If someone buys a site at that type of park or resort with the understanding that it will only be class A's over a certain size, they would have a legitimate complaint if the park started allowing some transient units in that were not within those specs.

I'm running into this with a few places in Michigan while making summer plans.

I stayed in a very low prestiege trailer park on the west side of Spokane WA. Not well kept ( un level dirt pull through spots) but fine for my purposes. The next year, I wanted to return, so I called to make a reservation. The lady on the phone asked what trailer I had. I said a 20 foot Airstream. She asked the age and I said proudly that it was a 65. She said that they don't allow trailers older than whatever the cutoff year was. I started to tell her that my trailer was restored and polished. She just hung up on me.

One time I stayed at the Pecan Grove RV park in downtown Austin. They put me close to the entrance so people driving by could see it.

Its interesting how there are such different attitudes. What a lame honor it is to be a trailer park snob! Haha

How about "I don't share personal information, but its less than 10 years old" if they ask...let them prove otherwise.

To paraphrase Groucho, I wouldn't want to stay in a park that would have a camper like me!
