Took the plunge

We will take delivery of our new 2021 Classic RBT in September. Searching for TV now. Man, the truck market is crazy right now. Looking forward to being an AS owner and part of the Airforums community.

GiaPK,

Congrats and welcome to Airforums.

See if you can make it to Alumalina in Marion NC this Oct. 21-24. As of now over 130 rigs. See this thread for full details. Not ready to tow, see if a day trip works out. Kick tires meet folks and more.

Yea, Trucks are crazy. We got lucky and found almost exactly what we wanted on the lot. What trucks are you looking at?

F250, Ram 2500, Silverado 2500 all diesel with all the towing options. We may have snagged a Chevy yesterday scheduled to be built next week. Now if they just have the chips for it. There are 50,000 trucks fully assembled waiting on Chinese chips.

This might work. Should have time for a couple of shake down cruises before then.

Before you ask what hitch you should get (assuming you were going to ask), look at the other threads on that subject currently flying here. It's a great thread killer!

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Good luck with getting the Duramax. We have had three of them. You'll be happy. Can't we make our own chips?????

Like Brian, I’m on #3 as well. Very pleased with the Duramax. Luckily a few of us beat the difficulty of the chip shortage.

Welcome to the forums too and congratulations on the Airstream.

It came in early!

I got a call yesterday from our dealer and our AS has landed! Now the hunt for the TV takes on a new sense of urgency. If necessary, we'll run over to the dealer and close the deal which will take some of the pressure off to get a truck lined up. This is getting ready to be very real.

Hi

Stick with your quest for "at least" a F250/2500 sized tow vehicle. The base F350 and "payload loaded" F250 are very similar vehicles (options and price). You might also extend your search to include F350's ....not sure if that applies to Chevy or RAM.
