When I first got my 2021 GT I had visions of having it polished mirror bright like several I saw on the road and in pictures. Then I found out here on the forums you can't do that with modern AS because of the type of aluminum and protective coating.
Well, I've been thinking about this for a bit now. We like our trailer a lot, but the skin is getting a lot of fifiform on it. A lot at the edges and other holes, marker lights etc. But also quite a bit in the middle of the panels. I don't think I want a chrome plated looking trailer, but a brushed aluminum color similar to factory would look great I think. Even if it does cost $10K, it would be cheap for a new looking trailer, in my opinion.
We've actually played with the idea of a full-body wrap on our 1994 Excella. We weren't thinking of chrome, but that does look great. We were thinking of something more creative/artistic, but held off because we didn't want the trailer to look like an advertising piece for some company.
