As with others went opposite 2 months ago sold 2014 Newmar Tag diesel pusher Ventana. Had 3 motor homes since 2007 ( when I owned my own company and could expense).
AS was only considered settled on 2018 33 fb Classic pulled by 2020 ram 2500 (both bought with proceeds on MH no out of pocket)
We love it can travel just as comfortable have most of the amenities we had less washer drier and generator (don’t dry camp).
Pros= AS says it all its a head turner, get in parks we could not with mh, less expensive all around, easier to clean, twin beds better, ac way cooler especially in the south, awning larger, set up time about same, less nervous driving especially through big cities
Cons= have not found any yet

Good luck asking questions before is always best

things that concern me now:
My stinger for the Hensley is 48 lbs and has to be put on and off several times a trip.
If we forgo hook ups I have a generator to lug around.
I'm ok with the manual zipdee awning for now, but it'll be a chore in the future.
We do not carry everything in the camper so every trip means loading and unloading the truck bed(my daily vehicle).
It seems like driving one long solid vehicle (maybe 40ft?) would be simpler than hauling a 34ft trailer with an 18 foot truck?
Is it easier to just get in a motor coach and drive away? With its auto levelers and onboard generator and basement storage...is it really as easy as it appears to pull into camp, drop the landing gear, and do the hookups?
We are healthy, in our mid 60s, and want to be on the road as long as possible but our years are numbered and we want the next ten to be the best ever!

...lol..in our 70’s..best thing I ever done was get rid of that Hensley hitch and go to a Reese duel cam...

We did the opposite too. After 45 yrs of RVing, finishing with a couple 42’ diesel pushers, we decided to downsize. We can get into any site, don’t worry about the slides going in or out, the levelers sticking, the air not building up, $600 oil changes, $1000 license plates, $1200 insurance etc. It took awhile to adjust and our biggest issue is lack of washer dryer. Hate laundromats. We struggle with the small refrigerator after a residential side-by-side but doing lots better. One thing, we do wish we had looked at a luxury fifth wheel - all the things we miss BUT most of the things we wanted to get rid of.
Lots of great thoughts here.

Class A for 12 years
I loved our Class A, 40 & 42', loved driving them, loved the room, features, generators, recoiling lines, 60" screens with real surround sound systems, washer/dryers, sleeps six normal people. wife wanted an Airstream for years, loves the retro look, bought our first AS - FC23FB in Feb 2019, thought I might find it too small and a really big adjustment, did not, loved it.
as everyone has said, too many systems and too hard to DIY. AS are simple, easy, and I have my truck, no renting cars or towing one. AS are a classic, don't miss the class A other than I do like the look of a beautiful 42' coach.
just sold the FC23FB, ordering a 2021 27FBT international tomorrow. can't wait AND I get to buy a new truck.

I went from a 33' to a 23' motorhome with a diesel. Honestly, I'm going to stick with the motorhome (sans getting a 3 horse LQ 5th wheel with an onboard generator). The small size has allowed me to go most places where it says no motorhomes or campers without any issues. It's only a couple of feet longer then a long bed 4 oor pickup. I didn't have the self levelers on it so I used the Lego blocks. That worked really good. When I do start traveling again if I don't get the LQ it'll be another small motorhome. It's just so much easier.
