Some days the AS Gods really do protect us!

So, this morning DW and I were sitting outside enjoying our pre-breakfast coffee under the awning on one of the coolest mornings in 2 months. (75* at 8:00AM)

We heard a crack and the sound of a large branch falling from the top of the canopy. Then we hear the sound of dozens and dozens of twigs and branches falling on the AS roof and the awning above our heads.

We stared at each other in disbelief, awaiting the gut wrenching, metal crunching end to this scenario.......nothing. nothing? NOTHING!

I walked out from under the awning and could not believe what I saw...a 5" diameter, 10 - 15 foot branch, which had fallen through the canopy got hung up on THE LAST LOWER BRANCH of the tree. There it hung, butt down, 24" above the AS roof! Hanging literally by a thread.

You NEVER saw a guy raise the main awning, raise the stabilizers, unhook power, hitch up and drive off in shorter time!

Dodged a bullet, big time!

That's why we practice "emergency bail-out procedures". Amazing how fast a well-trained crew can book! We'd also figure, if push came to shove, get moving, so what you tore the the power cord, t.v., water and drain off.
