Scam or Typo?

I've asked where the trailer can be seen. It will be interesting to see the reply... If it's for real, I might even consider it...

99% likelihood a scam. It will be "delivered" by a third party after you use PayPal or Western Union to submit payment...

1% chance it is owned by the someone who is clueless

Don't worry if it gets away from you. There are 30 or 40 identical trailers, priced $1,500 to $3,000, posted right now on CL. Just pick one. I've got my eye on a nice 2014 Flying Cloud 25 for $3K. I see four or five within a hundred miles of home but I see no reason not to wait for one to pop up here in town and save myself a drive. Should only be a day or so.

Not to get into politics here, but If they can build a physical wall on our border, why cant the build a electronic wall to keep this sort of scam from continuing?

Um, I believe all the 75th Anniversary units are 2006 and 2007s. They used calendar year for the 75th, not model year.

I'm sure the occupant of the White House would be more than happy to promise to do that.

Because these kind of scams don't rely on the cleverness of the scammers but the gullibility of the scammed. Fence is no good if you keep leaving through the gate to get robbed.

The reply from 'Debra'... I may have my offshore bank transfer the funds to the seller

hi! my 75th Anniversary Edition 2004 Airstream Safari Bambi 19' Travel Trailer is up for sale. My asking price is $1,500. Probably it deserves more, but I'm asking this price because it was my husband's RV, he loved it very much, but he didn't enjoy it...He died 9 months ago and now...I don't need it anymore. It brings me very bad memories and I want to get rid of it. It's in perfect condition, with no need for additional repairs, no scratches. The interior looks great. It has a clear title ready to be signed and notarized on your name. The price is not negotiable. All appliances and systems have been recently tested and all checked out perfectly. This Bambi is in remarkable condition! The aluminum body is free of any notable dents or corrosion. All of the trim and paint look incredible. All lights and signals are in perfect working order. It has a large awning that is in excellent condition. It has brand new tires!
I travel a lot with my business and I want to make this deal through eBay's Buyer Protection Program as they work like a third part for a successful and smooth transaction. If you're interested please let me know. Thanks! Debra

I spent allot of time searching for our trailer online and you see so many of these scams, although the better ones are when they price closer to what it should sell for. You can usually see something about the adds though that tip you off if you take off your blinders.

Na Not a Scam but anyway let me tell you a true Craigslist story about a friend's home on the water and how someone was scammed out of their money. One day she received a knock on her door and there was a husband and wife with a receipt stating they had rented her home for $1500.00 a month and had sent a $2000.00 deposit plus 3000.00 in prepaid rent. (just to give you and idea homes in her neighborhood would rent for about $3000.00 a month. Needless to say our friend was very surprised to fine that her house was for rent but not anywhere near as surprised as the couple who thought they had rented her place. Oh by the way this scam originated in Africa. All worked out ok for our friend after the police got involved but needless to say the couple was out their money.
Now as the old saying goes "if sounds to good to be true then it is more likely not true".

The next installment of the story...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
hi again ,the 2004 Airstream is located at eBay warehouse in Springfield, Missouri. It's already sealed and waiting to be delivered anywhere (i will pay the shipping so all you have to pay is only $1,500). Like i said, we will use eBay Services so we can both be protected and insured. the Bambi will arrive at your address between 3-5 days and you will have 15 days to inspect it. Once you inspected it and decided to keep it, you will confirm your decision to eBay and only then eBay will re-route the money in to my account. But, if by any reason, you won't be satisfied you will ship it back on my expense and eBay will give you a full refund. In this way you will be able to inspect the camper before committing to buy and as you see I WON'T GET ANY MONEY UNTIL YOU WILL SEE AND TEST IT!
If you want to start the transaction with eBay just reply here your full name, full address and phone number then eBay will contact you by e-mail with an invoice and explain the whole process...thanks! Debra

It's my understanding that eBay doesn't provide escrow services. But you probably already knew that...
