Good wine, a few bottles for friends that might stop by, wine opener, and real wine glasses, the rest is the never ending challenge of getting it right--practice makes for cool experiences.

PharmGeek--check out Pico chairs. Compact, comfortable, fold up nice. Bought them at a Rally seven years ago and they still are strong as the we purchased them.

Here is what I forget most often

1 Level ( I should buy one that lives in the trailer )

2 newspaper to start fire

3 coffee filters ( I rarely can find filters that fit the cowboy percolators )

4 propane canister for gas stove

Things I started bringing ( I dry camp most of the time )

1 paint buckets for water collection

2 solar lights ( the type used for walkways, I made a stand for them so I can use them indoors too )

Cast iron skillet and Dutch oven.

A small camp shovel for cleaning out fire ring and my homemade fire poker.

Better half.

Extra set of chairs for hospitality.

Ooooh, good one!

And, a small broom for leafy/dirty campsite patios. I found one of these at an art fair....handmade, very reasonably priced. It has a handle that allows it to ride hanging from the closet door.

Bug spray. Lots of bug spray. And citronella candles.

And all that other stuff folks mentioned.

Don't forget the bug spray either. And the dominos.

Bug spray.

And I've said this before, but a sense of humor and patience. You have to remember you're camping. The art of relaxation, connecting with nature (don't forget the bug spray) and dis-connecting from the rat race.

A bad day camping is usually thousands of times better than your best day in the office.

Go slow. Enjoy. Relax. Bring the right mindset.

And bug spray.
