Replace Dinette...Two Recliners!

I'm aware this topic has been talked about here before. After an extensive 10 week trip we're ready to take the plunge before our next trip. My AS has rear twin beds with the typical front lounge in the newer 25 ft models. What I'm looking for is pictures of recliner upgrades & some idea of the cost involved. I'm leaning toward a Jackson Center renovation as I know they do it right. Any info appreciated.

I did not post pictures because our set up would be much different than yours but I will tell you putting in recliners is the best thing we have done to our trailer.

I'm not sure how the 25RB is set-up. On a 25FB a two recliner conversion is a big deal because the gas furnace in located under the street side dinette seat.

We did a one recliner conversion in our 2005 Safari 25FB a number of years ago. We did that conversion ourselves. We are thinking about doing it again in our 2015 Fly Cloud 25FB. We were just at Jackson Center and got an estimate of $2,400 to do the one recliner curb side conversion.

We priced the same recliner and found that we can purchase it for $700. We should be able to have the dinette table professionally reconfigured or have a brand new one made for around $300. We figure that we can do the conversion ourselves for around $1,000. Removing the curb side dinette seating is an easy job. It's not that we don't like Service Center, on the other hand we think that they do a great job. It's just that we can do a good job, save some money, and not have to make the trip to JC.

We had our Flying Cloud 25 Rear Bed converted for two recliners, folding side table, center console between the recliners, and a custom cabinet built over the converter/charger by Jackson Center. That did a terrific job, has factory appearance, very comfortable, about $4200 total including two Villa lift recliners.

On your newer model FC 25 FB the converter/charger may have to be moved aft to near the refrigerator for the same conversion, which may cost a little more labor.

We did it, twice, once in a 25' then in a 30'. We used Stress less Lounges in 25' and zero clearance lazy boys in 30'. My pictures are on a hard drive at home and we won't be back until Oct. Both were easy to do but 25' was a little tight

This is our 27FB. I did all the work myself including moving the heater forward, so no idea what it might cost.

I did a 25 FB myself and was very easy. Had to create a new end cap on the lounge and move the heater vent. Only cost was the new recliners. Saved the dinette in case the next owner wants to reinstall it.

It's a popular trend to add a recliner to the dining area it seems. We pulled out the curb-side seat and used the same mounting holes to install a $300 recliner from Amazon. Then we had a local shop build a smaller, but with near identical Formica table for $150 and used the same mounting hardware from the original table.

Worked great for about a year and then we fell in love with the 30' Classic with a sofa with two power loungers on each end. And still had a spacious dinette.

So we reinstalled the regular curb-side seat and standard table and consigned our 27FB with Toscano RV and now have the 30 Classic that we picked up from them in February.

So, go ahead with the dinette/lounge conversion, but consider our solution, too. Airstream has your answer for your lounge chair quest😄.

I like your thinking on this but unfortunately my handyman skills are somewhat limited, that combined with some back issues will forse me to write a bigger check. We stopped in JC this past June for a very minor repair & was quite impressed with the whole operation and the customer service we got. It was during Alumapaloza week (unknown to us at the time) and extremely busy so no time to get an estimate. If we decide to move forward with this I don't mind returning there, its about 11 or 12 hundred miles for here.

We are thinking of the one recliner mod for our 25 FB twin. This was the exact same question that I had.
