No Problems with New Globetrotter
We picked up our new 2018 Globetrotter yesterday. I'm pleased to report that there were no issues upon inspection. Everything works as it should, the fit and finish is as it should be and the demo technician did a superb job.
I must say I was a bit apprehensive about quality related issues based on some of the comments on the forum (not at all saying the complaints are not justified where they exist). Of course time will tell but as on now we are very happy.
We bought the Globetrotter at the Tampa RV show and picked it up at Orlando RV. We were also very pleased with the level of service at Orlando RV.
Overall, an extremely pleasant buying experience!

No Problems with New Globetrotter
Congrats. Always nice to hear about a great purchase and delivery experience.
Have you spent any nights in it yet and how do you like the mattress?

Great to hear! I think it is a great idea to post when things go well like this, so I will tack on here that we picked our 2018 FC 25FB up the first week of March with no issues at walkthrough. We just had our first major camping trip during Spring Break last week and have no major issues to report still. Love this camper!! I am posting this on mobile and will try to get a pix on when I get to my PC. Have fun Hans627!!

Hans627-
Thank You for the post, and the reminder that Airstream is in fact building quality coaches that literally blow away most of the towable competition. We sometimes see posts complaining about new coach quality (the nature of internet forums), and it is SO NICE to hear a satisfied customer report in on a brand new coach!
It is important to note (at least to me) that you are not an RV newbie, and in fact, not an Airstream newbie............ Sometimes reading posts about quality issues reveals that new owners are in fact just that - new. NO RV experience, and they chose one of the most expensive towable RVs built for their starter unit and are shocked when it is not perfect. Boats and RVs are work. Things break, things need maintenance, things need upgrades. This is a hobby...........
Sorry, got on my soap box there. I hope ya'll love your new coach for a very long time. We're certainly big fans of the 27fb twin layout around here, as our Pete continues to serve our family needs very well.........Airstream really hit a homerun with the new Globetrotter!

Always refreshing to hear Good News. Those of us who have pulled thousands of miles and all the lower 48, plus all of Canada, don't often report what a PLEASURE it is to be an Airstreamer!

Thanks for posting the great news. Agree with All above posts. So nice to hear the dealer did a great job. I haven’t heard much (Good or bad) about the dealer in Orlando. I should go over and check them out. Much closer than driving to JC.

Thank you so much for your positive report on your new baby. May you have safe travels and many great Airstream Adventures with her.
She is a beautiful girl! I loved seeing your pictures. If it is not too much trouble, I would love to see some photos of the galley area.

No problems here either!
We picked up our 2018 27FB International Serenity on April 1, also with no inspection issues. We have done two short weekend trips, and crazy Texas weather has allowed us to test both AC and heating elements with no concerns. We have showered, cooked, backed up and driven through 50 mph winds. I love it!!
We purchased our unit through Vogt RV in Fort Worth, TX. It was an awesome experience without sales pressure. I adore our Blue Ox hitch which is pretty easy even for the wife.
Wife doesn’t love the mattresses but we purchased a twin with the goal of converting to a king. We meet again with our cabinet team today to solidify design plans.
Happy travels!!

Globetrotter
We were very excited to purchase a globetrotter. We made 2 trips to view them and try them out. We have a 2015 FC FB twin. Unfortunately my husband was not pleased with the bathroom in the globetrotter. The pull out of the cabinets and not off setting of the stool made it very uncomfortable for him. His knees hit right into the cabinet. He could not sit. We went to second place to try another. Same thing it was a no sale for us. Very disappointed. We were ready to buy. We do not have that problem in our 25 FC FB

Dinette table pedestal
Beautiful trailer inside and out. We have a FC 25 FB Twin, and we are planning the modification where you take out the curb side of the dinette and replace it with a recliner. We are going to redo the table and, based on your dinette photo, we purchased what appears to be the same pedestal that's being used in the Globetrotter. It came with 6 wood screws for securing it to the floor. Do you happen to know how yours was installed?
If not, I can ask Airstream. Thanks.

I am almost positive that it uses a base attached with 6 screws. I say almost positive because the AS is in the storage lot right now and I can only go by memory (which is risky at best). We will be traveling with it tomorrow and I can verify then.

Thanks. Just don't loosen one, because if it is bolted through the floor the nut on the bottom side might not tighten again. I think I would be okay to just use the included 6 screws, and I don't think there is anything under that part of the floor like one of the tanks that could get punctured. If I need to bolt it down, that would mean cutting an access hole through the bottom and then patching it.

One more thing if you don't mind. Could you post a picture of the underside of the dinette table?
I'm curious if it's just the table top mounted on the pedestal, or if there is another layer in-between.

We have had our Trotter out twice for long weekend trips. Love the silver baby, and it tows so nice, only had it to 90mph but didn't notice it was behind me. It sure beats the SOB fiver we had previously, we can enjoy camping and not cleaning for hours. Another trip is planned in 2 weeks, I can hardly wait, my wife is looking for a spot for a full length mirror, the only thing missing so far.

Welcome to the forum and the world of "streaming". Glad to hear you are enjoying your new AS, or as you mentioned, the silver baby! Have you thought a name for her yet? Or is that it?
We are in Savannah, GA right now and last night was the first night we spent in our new GT. I was somewhat concerned about the mattress but I'm happy to say that it is very comfortable. I slept well.
Mastering the dual zone thermostat took a few minutes but I got it.
One thing I notice that I must changed is on the dinette table. It is made of laminate material and has an edge band around the perimeter (as I think almost all tables are made). The top of the edge banding has a sharp edge. It's uncomfortable to have my arm on the table and be tying on my computer (as I'm doing right now). Some fine sandpaper can round that edge a bit.
But all in all it's great! And as ShinyPete mentioned in his comments, "This is a hobby.....!"

The pedestal has a plate on top of it. Not sure how it is attached as it is not welded.
The base has six screws attaching it to the floor.
Here are some pics.
