Names

I thought about adding a name to my Airstream, and perhaps registering it.

However, both the names I like are already in use.
Is there a protocol for using names, or not using names already in use?
The registry doesn't seem to care, but I don't want to step on toes.

I ponder the same issue.
Seems all the good, obvious ones have been taken.
Believe duplicates are ok, but we too would like to be unique.
Even harder to name the TV/TT pair (Jack & Jill likely everywhere).

Good luck...

If there’s one you really want, just go for it. Mine is registered Zen Den. Someone came along and registered theirs The Traveling Zen Den and now use it for social media. It doesn’t phase me. We know my registered name.

Our 63 was named Goliath, and the TV was named David. The 74 was named Bertha, and the TV was named Moose.
I keep threatening to name our current trailer Rio Dinero, but my wife keeps vetoing it.

There is a great bar in Sausalito CA known as the No Name.

As one approaches on the sidewalk, there is no sign and no name anywhere on the facade.

We refer to our trailer as “the trailer.”

There's one in the French Quarter, too. Plain white sign out front, no lettering.

Having said that, when it comes to trailer names, you can get a lot of inspiration from the BoatUS boat name registry (https://www.boatus.com/boatgraphics/...-directory.asp). If our Airstreams can have shore power, galleys, and other nautical-themed appurtenances, there's no reason why they can't borrow names from boats, too.
