maybe the first Airstream ad?

Hello, I ran across this ad while browsing. I wonder how many Airstreams were built at home from the plans, and towed with a Chrysler Airflow.

Bob, are there any actual detailed plans remaining? I think Dr. Holman’s Torpedo was eventually sold to an Amarillo tx museum. I think it would be fun to build one. Thanks

I haven't the slightest clue. But think how much $150 was worth in 1934. One inflation calculator says ~$2860.

And here's a tiny 750lb. trailer that I built a few years ago- timber-framed cedar and rigid house insulation, covered with canvas shrunk down with Titebond III waterproof glue. A senior couple saw it, and asked if I was interested in an 'old trailer' to fix up. It's the 95 Excella!
