Larger bed in 25'FB Int Sig

My 6'2" hubby & I need more sleeping room (his feet & ankles...) The 'Queen' size bed is no-where near the space needed. So, has anyone remodeled their sleeping to include a Cal-King bed? Thanks

It's easy to increase length by adding a foam section same thickness as the mattress between the head of the bed and the wall.

If you are not crazy about the comfort of the AS mattress you could get a custom mattress from a place like Rocky Mountain Mattresses. You'd be able to get the exact length and a better mattress.

RV Mattress | Custom RV Mattress | RV Bed | Custom Made RV Bed

Or have your queen bed converted to twins which are 78" long.

We lengthened the bed (25 FB International) very successfully. We ordered a Rocky Mountain RV mattress to fit the bed frame and added 5 inches. They have the AS templates and easily added the 5 extra inches in length. My husband designed and built a 5 inch extension to the base out of birch plywood. We considered not building the extension, but thought the bed might slide if we didn't. We can still get to the storage without raising the bed. It works well. The mattress is heavier and raising the bed takes more effort. We used the AS for 3.5 months this summer and loved the bed.

Best,
Caryl

Kelvin, can you share more information on your conversion from Queen to twins.
