Wahweap on Lake Powell

A little background on Wahweap RV park. My last visit was July 2016. In the past when you checked into the RV park at the office the clerk would provide a key card for the gate at the swimming pool located by the lodge, close to a mile away. In July etc you appreciate the swimming pool/bar, snack bar. This last visit, no key to the pool. I questioned it and was told it was too dangerous to allow RV'ers into the pool. Too crowed. A very large BS. DW, son and grandson and I walked past that pool three times (different days) during the "crowed" time and found one to four people at the pool. I asked at the lodge to speak to the manager. The cowered didn't have the guts to talk to me. I kept getting excuses as to why he couldn't see me. The pitch is, "you can swim in the lake." The water level is very low and the rocky walk down to the water is too long especially carrying beach gear. The punk manager took the fun out of Lake Powell in the hot weather. I hope a new manager will come along and go back to the old way.
