Just moved to Sacramento - looking for full-time RV space

Just got admitted to the University of San Fransisco to do graduate studies and get an MA in Counseling Psychology.

Looking for a place in Sacramento to live full-time in the Airstream as I'll be attending the Sacramento campus of USF.

I'm calling all the 'usual' RV parks and have a few I can go look at this week. I arrived last night and although I've done a *little* homework, I'd love to get the perspective of the locals.

Also need a few things for the trailer and so any expertise on the place to go for help would be AWESOME.

Thanks so much!

KA

PS If anyone would like to call, here's my # 801-803-4818

I see your campus is downtown. I've worked downtown for 20+ years and parking is a pain and expensive, especially for someone with a large truck. I recommend finding a place near the Regional Transit rail lines. Suggest looking east of downtown. If south, go to Elk Grove, not in between.

Thanks for the suggestion to take rail into town. Classes are once a week and are *supposed* to last from 4-10 pm on Thursdays. IF the rail runs until 10 then I'll find somewhere south to get on the train and head into town when I don't need to have a vehicle there.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I know that there are several mobile home parks in the area that sometimes have an open space that they will rent out on a short term basis. You might check some of them out. I am assuming you are younger than 55 and many are over 55 communities so you will have to check that out as well. Good Luck.

I used to live in Fair Oaks until about a year ago. There's an RV park in Folsom along Folsom Blvd within walking distance of the end of the RT route there. Sorry don't know the name of the place but a co-worker stayed there for several months after relocating to the area and I know they have monthly rates. Probably one of the better options in that area.

I did the same thing in Omaha,NB. I found a little known mobile home park about a mile from the UNO campus and happily commuted. I hope you find something that convenient.

Bay Area Airstream in Fairfield is a reputable service & parts supplier. We didn't buy our AS there but they have been fine to deal with.
