Insuring a Vintage Renovated Airstream

Does anyone know of a company that can appraise a renovated vintage Airstream for purposes of insuring it?

I just finished a five year long project of gutting and renovating a '73 Tradewind and want to insure it for replacement value, after the renovation.

I would suggest you contact Polk & Associates, they will do an appraisal for you. They will do it remotely based on the input you give them on repairs and upgrades. The more detail, photos and receipts you provide the better.

Be aware of terms, replacement cost, won't be in the appraisal. It will be market value, based on comparables for sale. Will all the comparables match year, make, model; NO. Will it reflect your cost; NO. That is my experience and that was my expectation.

I used Polk and was satisfied with his numbers. Keeping in mind I spent 35 years in the insurance industry and know what most carriers will offer. Perhaps someone else has sources they think are better than Polk.
