In fact we sometimes mix in nights in hotels on long trips and we are surprised how much noisier hotels are then the Airstream! I don't think you will have any problems, but if you do you can easily turn on the AC in fan only mode.

Will be a great guest room they will remember for a long time.

Thanks. Do you know if the Caravel and the Bambi have the same amount of insulation between the walls?

Anecdotal, but I've been surprised how quiet our 2022 unit is, even more so than out 2018. I can't really put my finger on it, but the rig just seems more snug inside, with less thermal loss. It's possible that the new composite floor is better at isolating the trailer. But it's noticeable to us.

As to "can you hear people talking outside 25-30 feet away in a normal voice" I'd say no, "in general", if the doors and windows are closed. Obviously there's a lot of variation on this but the interior of our ASs (we've had four) has always been amazingly quiet, as far as a travel trailer goes.

My speculation would be yes.

The differences between the Bambi and Caravel are in equipment fit and options (e.g. ducted air in the Caravel, which you *really* want), not so far as basic build constructions.

Since you've already ordered the trailer I guess you'll get to find out soon. I've parked my 25' Globetrotter in my driveway and slept in it. Our street is fairly quiet, but I definitely hear people outside. Of course, the trailer just barely fit in the driveway so it was right at the street. Heard all the cars go by too. I'm a pretty sound sleeper so it did not bother me. When the AC was running, that was all I heard.

The sound of a downpour is quite enjoyable.

Go to a local Airstream dealer and see/test for yourself.

Can you hear those kids in your house?

Hi

If the kids are playing out in the street and I'm inside at home, yes I can hear them (if it's quiet). Can I tell you exactly what each of them is saying? Nope. (yes, this is with the doors and windows closed .... ).
