How do you avoid walking into an open window?

The windows on my 68 are rimless and therefore very hard to see when open. I put a small piece of fluorescent orange duct tape on each corner as a reminder.

A previous owner removed the factory cabinets from my '82 Excella and replaced them with really nice golden oak custom built cabinets. I quickly found out why the factory cabinets had that nice rounded edge work. I have about eight scars (so far) on the top of my head from raising up into them.

And, the windows on my Excella when opened to the full open position are exactly at eye level. I've got a couple scars from that as well. Thanks for the tip about the "Remove Before Flight" streamers. I'm ordering some tonight.

Ian Poulan limited his choice of Airstreams to those which had sliding doors on the inside cabinets.

Perhaps you could get some "soft close" spring loaded hinges for your upper cabinets so that if you dont HOLD them open they'll gradually close themselves. The technology is also used with toilet seats if you tend to be the type of person who forgets to put that down and it results in trauma to the women and children in your family.

I'm envisioning this "technology" as promoting a race between the male user and the toilet seat to see who gets done first, which might also promote trauma to the user if the toilet seat wins.

My ex brother in law walked into back window of my 62 AS that had metal around glass, we had to take to hospital with injury. I have never ran into windows but I have hit top of door frame to many times to count, all resulting in much loss of skin [no hair to cushion]. The 76 AS does not have padding on door frame.

This is a great idea, but I can't seem to find these streamers on suction cups. We could obviously buy streamers and suction cups separately, but if you have a link for the combined product please do share it.

I think the 50's and early 60's are the worst ones to hit. I split my nose right between my eyes. Almost knocked me to the ground. Blood was everywhere and it would have been worse if not for my glasses that took most of the blow. The darn rear window is lower than the others and it got me.

Or alternatively, you could block up the AS 7" on all sides, plus whatever you needed to balance the thing, and add a pullman type removable step so people wouldn't strain themselves getting in or fall and injure themselves getting out. Of course, it might be too late to consider this alternative now. Probably easier to take seven inches off than to put it back on.
