New owners of a 2019 23FB flying cloud and we've named it JIFFY POP.
The one thing as a kid I could only have while camping with my parents - because it always burned! And of course, I always lusted over the airstreams which I'd see in the campgrounds and dreamt of one day owning.

We're in our mid-50's. I wonder if younger people will even understand the name...

Me as well, but maybe we should start. Seymour seems fitting...see more than you would in a hotel. Better yet just name the trailer ''beautiful'' just in case the wife is nearby. She'll think your talking about her...I want to die from natural causes...welts on my head is not.

"Homie" since our Flying Cloud 20' is our home away from home and in some ways like a fourth member on our trips. Homie definitely attracts more attention than the rest of us! Plus, we like saying "what's up Homie?" or "ready to go Homie?"

When my trailer was really ugly outside I called it “Beautymax”. My wife thought that was funny.

As mentioned in an earlier post, we named ours "Wheel Estate" which is engraved on the nameplate.... but after spending June 12th, 2018 in Colorado City's incredible hail-storm... we're calling her "Dimples".
She seems to like it.

We are not into those "Cutey" things like naming inanimate objects. Why call extra attention to things

I thought about that but what does it hurt? I don't even call our own daughters, wife and dogs by their given names. Pet names can be fun but when I was still in the military, they needed rank and order! Just kidding life is fun and everybody gets it and has fun with it

Per National Geographic Magazine, During Wally Byam's 1956 Caravan to Europe Germans saw the trailers as "Shining Zeppelins Pulled by Bonbon-colored Cars".

So our Airstream is "Baby Zeppelin".

One reason to name your unit is so that you can register it with Airstream. They scan their registry to make sure the name has not been used, and if not, engrave the name with your VIN on a pretty round plate that you affix to your unit. No charge for the plate or the certificate that comes with it. And, you know that - at least "officially" - no one else can use that name.

Our trailer plate is fixed next to the entry door; our AI plate is fixed next to the sliding door. They look cool.

We are also not into the “cutey” names. The Airstream works for us.

How did everyone come up with names for their trailer?

Haha, in submarines, shipmates picked up a wide range of “endearing,” nick names. Megamouth, Dancing Bear, Big Bird, Chaplain, Baby Face, Blue Max, and on and on. A bit off topic, but those names were all in fun.
