I like the floor drain idea. When I pulled down the belly pan, there was an inch of dirt there, probably from unpaved roads. I bet the trailers got dirty going from Capetown to Cairo. BTW, an elderly lady who parks her MoHo in the spot next to my trailer was telling me about that very same Airstream trip, in 1959, planned to go but didn't make it. She drove her war surplus Jeep to Baja the next year instead.

We find dust from Burning Man throughout the year. Our goal in our renovation is a durable, cleanable surface. It is a trailer, after all. The laser cut backlit flamingo in the bathroom is just icing.

I was liking the vessel mounted lav sink. Durable and cleanable are the two tests I put materials through before I use them in work projects, and for the trailer. I like to see how much abuse a material can take before it cracks/bends/stains/catches fire. I figure stuff should be easy to keep looking good for a long time, no fussy materials (any more) for me.

Kristiana, Silver Trailer, our NorCal Airstreamer friend and sometimes rally participant just posted this on Facebook.

To Modern South

I'm "all in" for a glamping trip. I love the Airstream community because, as a solo traveler (okay, so my dog is the perfect ice breaker) I never feel alone when out on the road. I have a great home life, with the exception of a hubby who doesn't camp. So, I glamp. With his hunting dog. I'm in mid-Michigan and if you ever put together a rally, count me in! Love air forums and all the folks I "meet". Kelly

P.S. Will be at Alumapalooza this year! 16' DWR Bambi.

This may be common knowledge in the glamping world, but new to me. I recently discovered an Australian magazine "Vintage Caravan Magazine". Glam ping with a down under slant. I found the current issue on eBay. Past issues and subscriptions are available on their web site.

Mellen60, I've seen forum rallies in Illinois, and I'm sure there are some in MI. If not, you could post a meet up and probably find others who would join you. Camping with others is great fun and with other Airstreamers, you always find something to talk about.
