Don't assume good or evil
Seems that everyone has made an assumption that this "person" is in fact the good one in this sordid story.
There is no way to know that your not in fact helping the "Bad Guy"...just because they want an Airstream to escape in it's easy to make an assumption that they are good.
Sketchy behavior to say the least......what if this cult it (he or she?) speaks of is in fact the Feds and it is looking to escape justice.
Easy to refer to the proper authorities as a cult....perhaps just a common tax evader or some other scofflaw looking to defraud others.
Perhaps it has hurt someone and looks to now evade proper justice?
How do you know your not helping the bad guy?????
Just a thought

Airstream is the Perfect Way To Get Away

An Airstream is the perfect way to disappear.
When I bought my Airstream I drove home without plates. Bought it private party on a Sunday and was not going to drive 12+ more hours to get a plate. I know a dealer that never uses plates, a bit of a nut IMO. But he pointed out the phenomenon.
And I do not recommend you not having a legally registered vehicle.
When I got a flat people pulled over to help, "because you had an Airstream."
Cannot count the number of times someone has stopped to say Hi.
Face it, you are a success, almost Hollywood.
Hire a bodyguard and hit the road.
Or get a dog, bear spray but never a gun.
Go to Arizona. There everyone has a gun, half of drivers are legally blind and heavily medicated but be nice.
John Wayne or a clone will rescue you, just wave a hankie any where out there in the desert.
Let us know

Hi
.... umm ... errr .... These days even some pretty small police departments have camera systems in their patrol cars. The system grabs license plate info off of every vehicle that passes by. Ones with "issues" get flagged so they can turn on the flashing lights. Don't ask how I know it works this way ....

Not only do police have cameras and computers to read license plates, they have license plate readers on I-70 here in western Colorado. I am sure they are in other places too. There have been since 9/11, cameras mounted on traffic lights all over Colorado, but no explanation what they do—they are not red light cameras. On I-70 just east of the Utah border, state and local cops regularly arrest people bringing hard drugs (meth, heroin, cocaine, fentanyl) into the state—this is lucrative for the state cops who get forfeit money, though the locals don't get much of that anymore. They seem to look for rental cars (license plates give them away) and stop people from out of state a lot. Why anyone with such drugs would come through Colorado on I-70 is beyond me. There are other ways to get through the state and maybe the smart drug couriers do use them and don't get stopped. Some bring large quantities of marijuana in the state, apparently for the black market here and to avoid state taxes. I did see a small van like vehicle from California stopped a few miles before we got to Utah although I never saw him doing anything that could be seen as a traffic violation. Most of the stops seem to be based on failure to use a turn signal when changing lanes, staying in the left lane too long or other somewhat subjective reasons to stop a car.
Despite supreme court rulings about searching everyone and privacy, it appears we are being tracked all the time.
If you are stalked, tracking can help you if the authorities are looking for the stalker. If the authorities are the stalker, not much help there. I try not to be overly suspicious (without much success at times), but I previously did ask whether this was a put on. It did sound bizarre, but the OP may have been genuine. I am not surprised cops may not take a complaintant seriously—they get plenty of complaints about stalking and some are bogus, products of irrational fear or there is little or no proof of a crime. A problem no one has a good solution to is the potential or actual stalking because there is often little evidence of an actual crime. One problem is that people often say stupid things without intention of following up. Do we lock up everyone who says a stupid thing? The other side is some people do follow through. And there are people who are angry at someone and claim, erroneously, they are being stalked. None of this offers comfort to victims.
With social media, now people who speak out on political issues, especially women, are regularly trashed by opponents in the most nasty ways. One time when I had written a letter to the local paper, I had an anonymous call on my phone machine telling me I was a "fool"; that was as far as it went. I know others who have received threatening letters or calls or posts online that are upsetting. I know of political storefronts being trashed by opponents, yard signs trashed or removed, people with political bumper stickers being followed into stores and threatened. At times it feels like threats have been normalized. Do and can the police follow up on all of this?
The OP has not posted for a while and may have taken the advice to not use a public forum. We may never hear how this works out or whether it was true.

Never have your mail delivered where you live.
Never use your real name on social media accounts.
Never allow your face to to be tagged online.
Don't visit your favorite places that your stalker knows about.

I’m the type person that would confront this person head on and deal with it. Don’t think running and avoiding the situation is the answer for anyone. Just my opinion and others may choose a different path.

Thank you for your message. There is only one word for what this cult is doing—diabolical.....one of them told me once “basically youcan do whatever you want” of course it goes withoutsaying how you do it and get away with it is the rub. I have learned that 90,000 people a year disappear without a trace—forever. Many are tortured insidiously my these sociopaths, murdered, then cremated.
How many resources are going to be spent looking for someone who “may havewanted to startover” somewhere like I am contemplating i even posted on my profile on the website where I met the person who started all of this that my will was changed and my beneficiaries notified that the bulk of my estate would be the bounty on theirheads should anything happen to me. So they are taking a different approach.

Not a month ago I had a little self defense training. Not the typical tuff guy stuff. More the real world for anyone style. Instructor was international grade. In the opening session he covered an important point.
Self defense is 100% about survival. If a situation is fight or flight. His training is about flight. Escape. Find that opening and go. We don't know that we can or will take a life. We don't know how the system will see our actions. We don't know what the legal cost of presenting a defense may be.
So I think you run. Forget the macho. Take the opening. Be prepared but take flight. A protection order is a piece of paper. Not a life warranty.
Good luck. God speed.

That is my true inner Self not my outside image.
I have left a clue to my appearance on this site with my avatar though it would be difficult to track me through it...

Do not purchase Washington, D.C. plates for your Airstream.
Register in a State that has lots of RV and Trailer owners.
I am sure these are Public Records, so anyone with technical knowledge can find your name. Use a Company Name and title it that way. (Just pulling out ideas, check with the Department of Transportation for... options.)
My relatives are always looking for me. They want something done around the house or something fixed. The name you see on this post is not my real name. If it were, many on the Forum would be looking for me to say I should Get Off the Grid, as well.

I keep thinking he has the right idea, buy an Airstream, switch plates with someone at random and live by going from one AS rally to the next.
Where better to hide?
Thanks,

update
Well, it's been a couple of months now and I am loving my new lifestyle--and I've made some really great new friends. I stuck around the area, but not too close, to get familiar with my Airstream systems, gain some confidence and tie up so loose ends in the area. I pay for things in cash, and people understand when I ask to be left off the books as soon as I say "stalker".
Don't know if I mentioned it on here before but it is more than one, some kind of cult. It is impossible to get any authorities to believe me, and so far there has been nothing that I can prove was done by any one individual, but there has been plenty done. After just two months away from the constant threat and reminders, my MD pronounced my PTSD is in complete remission, for which I am truly grateful--getting my Airstream was the smartest thing I could have done and I am also truly grateful to have had the means to do it.
More to come...............................
