First trip new questions

We got our 2022 F150 and took out our 2005 Safari 25’.
I was towing at 65 MPH and one of the Mastercraft E rated tires came apart (13mo. Old properly inflated). I replaced them with Goodyear Endurance E rated tires.

What kind of TPMS is good? I posted a picture of the valve stem. They didn’t have the metal ones that go on. So what I’m really asking is would you use the stems I have with a TPMS?

Next question is potty talk. The valve in the toilet hung up a couple of times and I had to jiggle the foot flusher to get it to close. Any ideas on how I should address it?

Overall it was not bad first outing. The family is still on speaking terms and other than the damage to my wheel well things went well.

Unless it's a metal stem, i.e. rigid and secured to the rim, I personally would shy away from attaching a valve-stem TPMS sensor to it.

I've had good luck with TST 507, but this was on a previous coach. I put the sensors on after I had new Michelin Defenders installed (with metal valve stems), replacing the OEM Goodyear Marathons.

Congrats!

I use only metal valve stems. The others have too much flex. My TPMS is the TST 507.

The toilet seal and valve needs to be cleaned and then lubricated with plumbers silicone faucet grease. There are various other options, many of which have varying degrees of success. The new toilets are shipped with silicone grease. I've used olive oil, vegetable oil, and Thetford toilet seal conditioner. It might be worth the price to simply replace the seal. Easy to replace. I carry a spare.
